DTN/Meteorlogix Launches MxVision AviationSentry Online FBO Edition

Real-time plotting of Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) areas, enhanced international aviation weather forecasts, along with FBO-specific features including a flight planner, flight plan filing and computer lockdown capabilities

MINNEAPOLIS (June 25, 2008) — DTN/Meteorlogix, the leading business information services company focused on agricultural, energy and weather business markets, today announced the new release of MxVision AviationSentry® Online to help airline pilots, helicopters, FBOs and corporate flight departments stay on top of current and developing weather conditions, current flight restrictions and improve airport ramp operations safety.

MxVision AviationSentry Online now offers global coverage of turbulence and icing areas as well as additional satellite and low level wind maps. It also provides 'temporary flight restrictions' to see all restricted airspace impacting flights displayed as a graphical layer, complete with text explanation for key areas of interest. DTN/Meteorlogix is also launching a new edition of AviationSentry specifically targeted for the needs of FBOs. FBO Edition is the only weather briefing system to offer a lockdown capability to prevent misuse of shared PC's. In addition, interactive flight planning features are built in.

This update also provides faster radar performance along with interactive, full-screen radar with the ability to zoom in, turn off/on layers and animate radar images. Key radar areas can be enlarged and clicked into for complete details on weather impacting the area. Collectively, these additions help determine weather conditions and understand risk.

With severe weather season approaching, new lightning detection product enhancements for ramp personnel safety include:

• The most advanced dynamic lightning alerting system that sends out three alerts an early advisory, an 'act now' warning notice and the 'all clear' signal
• Time series animations of lightning activity indicate where severe weather is moving

These new capabilities provide unique and powerful real-time severe weather management tools to help mitigate risk and improve safety.
