Position Summary & Major Responsibilities:

This position is entry-level and is typically held by individuals who are recent graduates or who have limited relevant experience in the industry. This position involves the development and configuration of single components of a system under the direction of a more senior analyst/engineer. Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the design, development, documentation, testing and commissioning of any aspect of the construction of a system, depending on the project assignment. As a position of increasing responsibilities and as each person's own abilities increase, so do the level of the assignments that they are provided with.
  • Designing and developing of software for individual applications (C, C++, C#, Microsoft tools)
  • Designing and configuring networks and systems
  • Participating in providing project documentation, including contractual specifications and user level documentation
  • Performing project work according to defined procedures and are provided with extensive training in the form of formal training sessions, selective project assignments and guidance from the senior members of the department

 Education & Experience Preferred:

  •  A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline such as Math, Physics or Geoscience, with 1+ years related post-secondary experience in software/systems development, preferably in the SCADA industry, or
  • A Technology Diploma with 3+ years related post-secondary experience in software/systems development, preferably in the SCADA industry
