Telvent is seeking a Project Manager to fill a leadership role by assisting with the organization and direction of the projects team. They will oversee projects implementing our software solution for water and wastewater utility clients.  Please read full job description below.

Job Description:

The Project Manager has overall responsibility for the financial and technical performance of the team. They will oversee a team of Project Leaders, Business Analysts and Programmers to deliver projects of varying magnitude in terms of complexity, cost, time constraints, internal and external staffing, equipment, and software technology.  They will provide direction to project teams, including assignment of individual responsibilities, tasks, and technical functions.  They will also identify needs and allocate appropriate resources to complete specific project tasks on time. They should continually monitor progress by project and task to ensure specific deadlines are met.  They will also:

• Provide direct supervision of Project Leaders and Business Analysts within the team including assignment of individual responsibilities, tasks, and technical functions.
• Provide direct supervision of individual programmers within the team.  The Project Leader will work with the Project Managers to provide day-to-day assignments for programmers.
• Work with the Director of Operations to set evaluation standards for the team and for Project Managers within the team.
• Work with the Director of Operations to determine which projects are assigned to the team.
• Work with Sales and Marketing to monitor and ensure customer satisfaction.

The Telvent Project Manager must be self-motivated, flexible and able to learn new technologies and processes as these become important to our business.  

Travel domestically and internationally, about 30 to 40%, will be required.

Position Requirements:

• A BS/MS degree in CS, Engineering or Geography (or related field with computer emphasis).
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills as well as client relations experience is a must.
• Project implementation experience in a water/wastewater utility environment.
• Technical experience in implementation of utility engineering software solutions such as SCADA.
• Technical knowledge of C, C++, C#, Microsoft development tools and technologies
• Knowledge or experience with OSISoft PI S/W is a plus
• Experience managing projects involving integration between multiple enterprise software products.
• Management experience is a plus.
