Telvent to Ensure the Continuity of the Andalusian Autonomous Government Services to the Citizens

May 18, 2010 - Telvent (NASDAQ: TLVT), the IT company for a sustainable and secure world, announced today that it was awarded , along with Novasoft (UTE), the project of creation and implementation of the Center of ICT Continuity for the Government of Andalusia.

As part of the agreement, Telvent will provide data back-up services and continuity of critical applications to the Andalusian Government. The aim is to ensure the full recovery and availability of information and applications considered by the organization of vital importance, if an incident occurs (fire, earthquake, terrorist attack, etc.), and at the same time ensuring that the beneficiary bodies can maintain their standards of service to citizens in critical situations.

The new Support Center will be located at the Telvent Data Center in Seville and is expected to begin operations in 2010. For at least the next three years, Telvent and Novasoft will provide services to each of the 13 Ministries and major public agencies in Andalusia, among which are the SAS (Andalusian Public Health Services), the SAE (Andalusian Public Employment Agency), and SADESI (Andalusian Society for the Development of Information Society).

In addition, the joint venture includes working with the Government of Andalusia in the preparation of a list of additional services to ensure data replication and the continuity of the applications that the Councils may request on demand.

Telvent has considerable experience completing similar projectsincluding managing the Andalusian Autonomous Government's previous Support Data Center and providing back-up services to the Seville City Council, Ferrovial, Merrill Lynch, and LaNetro.
