This position is intermediate level and is help by individuals who have 3+years experience with designing, preparing, testing and installing software applications, identifying, analyzing and adapting functional specifications in order to deliver a tested application that meets the requirements of the end customer.

Detailed responsibilities include:

• Involved in the development and configuration of multiple components of a system
• May be involved in any aspect of the department's activities
• Depending on project assignments, an individual in this position may participate in the design, development, documentation, testing and commissioning of a system
• Assignments typically require an understanding of the applicable technologies and the industry applications they are used in
• Perform project work according to defined procedures
• Leadership responsibilities may include providing technical guidance to other members of the department
• May be assigned a project role which would involve them in the technical leadership and planning activities of a project
• Working directly with a Customer's Engineering and Operations staff to produce a solution to meet their requirements
• This is a position of increasing responsibilities. Individuals in this role are provided with training in the form of formal training sessions, selective project assignments and guidance from the senior members of the department
• Participate in their own scheduling and work with little supervision
• Qualified individuals typically achieve professional registration while in this position    

Technical

• 3+ years related post-secondary experience in software/systems development, preferably in the SCADA industry, or programming a solution in C, C++
• Define requirements and evaluate new possibilities
• Project analysis, design and interface specification documentation

• A Bachelor's in Engineering; preferably Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a Computer Science degree.
