Job Description: 

Telvent is seeking an Accountant to focus on core accounting processes, as well as reporting and inter-company accounting. This person will be a self-starter who possesses an attention to detail and solid communication abilities, and will have technology, organizational and analytical skills. They will work to ensure adherence to US GAAP as well as to the corporate standards and requirements.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Reviewing general ledger accounts and posting journal entries
• Performing account analyses and reconciliation, including inter-company general ledger accounts
• Preparing financial statements and other financial reports
• Maintaining the general ledger chart of accounts
• Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits

In this position, the ideal candidate will likely perform some or all of the following job responsibilities:

• Month-end closing
• Inter-company accounting
• Balance sheet analyses/reconciliation
• Division and department analysis
• Reporting with in house financial systems
• Government reporting, tax and other as needed
• Some travel required as necessary

The successful candidate for this position will be one who is able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and one who can get the job done accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be willing to assist when and where they are needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus but not required
• 3+ years of related accounting experience
• SAP experience is desired
• Ability to meet deadlines with limited guidance
• Promotes quality, integrity, reliability and teamwork
• Ability to make timely and accurate judgments in a dynamic business environment
• Excellent problem solving and follow up skills with attention to detail
