A global leader in IT solutions and information services is seeking an Executive level leader for their Transit business division in North America.

This executive will play a key role in planning and driving the strategic business development efforts of operations in North America.

This executive will also be responsible for:

• Working in coordination with other senior management to develop and implement a Transit marketing strategy for North America
• Identifying new opportunities and developing pursuit strategies
• Performing comprehensive analysis of market potential and maintaining thorough knowledge and familiarity with strategic projects and component business opportunities in the market
• Working and consulting with a variety of individuals across the organization, including senior managers, project and pursuit managers, and technical and other marketing staff, both within the organization
• Coordinating with the Product Centre in Spain in order to get technical and product support for the business development and proposals preparation
• Developing project, market and bid strategies and presentations
• Keeping informed on market conditions, trends, and politics that affect the assigned sales region
• Coordinating with peers from other organizations, including teaming partners and representatives of client, vendor and other organizations

Requirements

The individual should possess the following credentials:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering. Advanced degree in business administration is desirable
• Previous experience marketing to mass transit clients in North America, specifically in the area of Fare Collection and/or Metro/Rail Control Systems and Telecommunications
• Previous experience in managing complex RFPs
• Ability to develop contacts with and influence decision-making institutions at the highest levels to drive success
• Proven leadership skills to proactively drive business opportunities
• Excellent technical aptitude along with strong commercial savvy in complex products and systems
• Effective written and oral communication skills including strong presentation skills
