Telvent is continually working to improve its performance as a market-driven organization with exceptional growth across its diverse vertical markets and is currently seeking an experienced corporate recruiter to join our Human Resources team.  The ideal candidate will have five plus years of recruiting experience, demonstrated ability to work closely with hiring managers and possess knowledge of technology and business.  This position will focus on all aspects of recruiting talent for exempt and non-exempt positions at Telvent and will oversee the entire recruiting process from sourcing candidates, resume screening, interviewing candidates, and providing recommendations on the most qualified candidates to management.  It will be the responsibility of this position to build relationships with management to better identify their hiring needs, develop recruiting strategy, and provide on-going feedback.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates to include mining internal and external candidates in order to ensure a strong candidate pipeline, while providing timely and innovative sourcing results and solutions
  • Building job descriptions, drafting interview questions, conducting salary surveys and reporting on recruitment efforts
  • Collaborating with hiring managers on recruitment needs
  • Execution of sourcing strategies to provide high-quality, entry-, mid-, and high-level talent.  This role will recruit multiple categories of employees, including operations, programmers, engineers, managers and others
  • Managing relationships with recruitment agencies and other third party organizations in order to execute business needs
  • Lead university recruitment programs for internships, including job fairs and speaking engagements

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources or equivalent degree
  • 5+ years corporate recruiting experience for exempt and non-exempt positions required
  • Ability to understand the business and build rapport with hiring managers
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively listen and communicate
  • Strong technical aptitude (e.g., recruiting for technical positions, ability to understand systems and evaluating knowledge, skills and abilities required for those positions)
  • Knowledge of social networking technology as a recruiting tool, including LinkedIn, Plaxo and Twitter
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or similar web-based HRIS system is preferred
  • Employee training experience is preferred
  • AIRS Certification a plus
  • Ability to travel 10-20%
