Since 2010, Mr. Valer has served as Country President of the Iberian Zone and is the South American Senior Vice President of the Schneider Electric Group.

Between 2004 and 2009, Mr. Valer has held various positions within Schneider Electric Spain; among others, Director of Major Accounts and End User, Director of the Electrical Transmission and Distribution Services Division, Director of the Energy and Medium Voltage Infrastructure Markets and Director of the Services Division. In 2009, he was appointed Senior Vice President for the Iberian Zone and South America and, since that year, he is a director of Schneider Electric España, S.A., Schneider Electric Portugal, Aparelhagem Eléctrica Lda., Schneider Electric Energy España, S.L., Himel Technology, S.L. and Telvent, after the recent acquisition of that Company by Schneider Electric España.

Mr. Valer holds a degree in Industrial Electrical Engineering graduated from the University of Madrid and PDG (General Manager Program) from IESE Business School.
