Specifically, Telvent believes that the challenges associated to security will be located in the field of critical infrastructure, borders, information, and data networks. Information technologies are a powerful tool without which it is impossible to guarantee the security of our world as it grows. At the same time, there is a need to increase the security of each day's information technology, as long as they have become a key element in the chain of management and control of a large number of critical processes.

Sustainability

There is a growing consensus regarding the fact that the world is undergoing climate change resulting from global warming of our planet, a consequence of greenhouse gas emissions associated with human activity. There is also an ever increasing consensus as to the magnitude of this problem, which goes beyond the strictly environmental realm. It is a problem with a social, political and economic dimension.

The world is gradually becoming more aware of the fact that the solution to both problems is impossible without the use of information technologies. Through information technologies, at Telvent we wish to contribute to creating a more sustainable world.

Specifically, at Telvent we believe that the most important challenges will be associated with energy efficiency, reduction of CO2 emissions, and water management. Telvent believes that the cleanest energy is the energy that is not used, and it is working towards energy efficiency in the Energy and Transportation sectors, constantly innovating, providing technological solutions with high added value, and offering Global Services. In terms of the reduction of CO2, Telvent provides a response from the Environmental, Energy, and Transportation sectors.
