Telvent Wins Contract to Implement 511 System in Pennsylvania

The 511 system will provide critical state-wide traveler information to commuters. Telvent (NASDAQ: TLVT), the IT company for a sustainable and secure world, announced today that they were selected by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) to implement the new 511 Pennsylvania. Telvent will serve as the prime contractor and is teaming with Verizon, INRIX, Telecom Horizon Partners, Jacobs Engineering Group, E-Squared Engineering, Wolfe Doyle Advertising, ASTI Transportation Systems, Inc., and SAVVIS. The contract will last approximately 3 years and is valued at more than eight million euros.
