José Ignacio del Barrio
Transportation President
Mr. del Barrio has worked for Abengoa and Telvent since 1988. He began his career in Telvent as a project manager for large-scale strategic projects in Africa and Latin America in the communications division, and was later promoted to director of the international department. In 1993, he was named Telvent Mexico's general manager. After three years in Mexico, he took the position of sales and marketing director of Telvent energy and environment in 1998, he was named managing director of the communications division. In 2001, he became Telvent's general manager, where he founded and held executive positions in Telvent housing, Telvent Datahouse and Telvent Interactiva.
He graduated with a degree in telecommunications engineering from UPM in Madrid, Spain, and holds a degree from the business administration program from IESE in Barcelona, Spain.
