José Montoya

Mr. Montoya held the position of Telvent’s president of transportation since 2006. Prior to that, since 1989, he held the position of vice president. Montoya founded the Road Traffic activity in 1974. He is currently a member of the board of directors of several of Telvent subsidiary companies, and is chairman of Telvent in China, Maexbic, Traffic Engineering, and vice-president of Arce Sistemas.
Montoya is also vice president of the Association of Spanish Traffic Companies (PEMTRA); vice-president of the Spanish Highway Association (AEC), and member of the board of directors of ITS España, where he is one of the vice presidents.
Montoya holds an engineering degree from the Polytechnic University of Linares, and an MBA from IESE in Madrid, Spain.
